A Quick Stop With Kids

We pulled into the Wawa at the same time. We parked our cars at the same time. We got out of our cars at the same time.

She walked into the store. I walked around to the other side of the car, strapped on the Ergo, unbuckled the baby, strapped her into the Ergo, walked back around to the other side of the car, unbuckled Valerie, held her hand while I fumbled for my wallet, reminded her to look both ways, and started to walk towards the store.

She passed us in the parking lot, before we even reached the front door; her "quick stop" already completed, ours barely begun.

"Quick" really is quite relative, once you have kids.
